Vande Mataram for Ramzan

The long-in-the-making Henry produced bi-lingual in Tamil and Malayalam, the multi-starrer Vande Mataram featuring Mammootty, Arjun, Sneha, Kalabhavan Mani, Sharada Arya, Atul Kulkarni and Nassar is atlast ready for release.

The producer of the film Henry says it will now release for Ramzan on September 10. D Aravind is the director of the film which has music by Imman. Mammootty and Arjun play cops in the film which has Sneha as a pilot.

The story of the film is how terrorism is creeping into south India, and how farmers deaths and agriculture failure is being exploited by terrorist organizations having base in neighboring countries.

Vande Mataram to be released in 350 centres



Megastar Mammootty’s film Vande Mataram, also staring Arjun and Sneha in the lead roles will be released in 350 centres in Kerala and Tamil Nadu on July 15.


The action-packed patriotic movie was made over last three years. It took 100 days of shooting and ten schedules to complete the movie. The film is being produced by Pankaj Pictures Henry, who had already given two hit movies Yavanika andMarumalrchi with Mammootty. T. Aravind has directed the movie.


The supporting roles in the movie are played by Malayalam actors Kalabhavan Mani, Jagadish, late Rajan P Dev, Jai Akash and Atul Kulkarni. The music of the film has been composed by D. Immam and Rajesh Yadav has done the camerawork.


The shot taken inside Chennai central jail is the highlight of the movie along with a patriotic song ‘Vande Matharam’, crooned by ten playback singers. Time Ads is distributing the film in Kerala, which will be released in 90 screens.

Vande Matharam for Republic Day

Mammootty and Tamil actor Arjun starrer movie Vande Matharam is proposed to get released on Republic Day. Mammootty comes as a CBI Officer in the movie. Arjun plays the role of an investigative cop. Sneha is the heroine of the film and does the role of a pilot.

The movie, which is also released in Tamil, bears the same title. Earlier the Tamil version was titled Aruvadai. It got changed for title value. The movie is directed by T Aravind and produced by Henry. Vidyasagar has scored the music.

Vande Mataram: Shooting completed

Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Tamil 'action king' Arjun team's much-anticipated bilingual Vande Mataram (Aruvadai in Tamil), directed by T. Arvind, has completed its shooting. The film�s climax was shot in Sengundram with the lead actors and several junior artists.

Director Arvind expressed his happiness that Vande Mataram has fulfilled his expectations and come out well. Describing the film�s story in a single line, the director said Vande Mataram is an investigative action thriller, the story of a group of police officers who go hunting for a group of terrorists who have been creating havoc in the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.

Produced by Henry with a whopping budget of 14 cores under the banner of Pankaj Productions, the film begins with a scenes showing that the central investigative agency (RAW) finds out that Malik, head of a terrorist group, has crossed the international border and entered India to execute deadly explosions in South India. Gopi Krishnan (Mammootty), Southern zone command director of the Intelligence bureau, is assigned the task of tracing the plans of the organization and stopping them from creating any damage.

Gopi Krishnan forms a core team with support from Anwar Hussain (Arjun) who joins the group on deputation from the State police. The execution of 'Operation Malik' forms the climax of the movie. The film will feature two heroines, Sneha as a pilot and wife of Gopi Krishnan and Sharadha Arya as an ornithologist. Deepak J.D. makes his debut as the deadly villain.

The action sequences and stunts were cinematographed by stunt director Anal Arasu. K. Santhosh has written the dialogues for the Malayalam version. The five songs in the movie, penned by Gireesh Puthencherry and Vayalar Sharatchandra Varma, are set to music by Vidyasagar. The Tamil verses are written by P. Vijay, Vairamuthu and Yugabarathi. Cinematography is by Vetri and Rajesh Yadav.
